๐Ÿ“ฃ Amazing News! The MACC Annual Spring Luncheon was a remarkable event that took place on April 19th, 2023, at Middletown Memorial Hall on West Green Street. As proud sponsors of The Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce, The Freedom Center for Independent Living had an incredible opportunity to dive into the world of business expansion, growth, and recent accomplishments in the MOT area. Here’s a recap of the highlights:

โœจ Celebrating Success: We applaud Sundance Kitchen Homes and Exteriors and Bright Home Delaware for their exceptional achievements in business growth. They were honored with awards and shared inspiring stories of their journeys.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Mayors Unite: The event was graced by the presence of three esteemed mayorsโ€”Harvey C. Smith, Jr. of Odessa, Scott Lobdell of Townsend, and Kenneth L. Branner, Jr. of Middletown. Each mayor provided valuable insights into the current happenings within their respective towns.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Odessa’s Rich History: Mayor Harvey C. Smith, Jr. took us on a fascinating journey, delving into the historical significance of Odessa and its contribution to the vibrant MOT community.

๐ŸŒŸ Townsend’s Achievements and Future Plans: Mayor Scott Lobdell enlightened us with the recent accomplishments of Townsend and their exciting plans for the future. From memorable festivals to impactful outreach programs like backpack drives for kids, Townsend is dedicated to making a positive difference.

๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ Townsend’s Own Police Force: Mayor Scott Lobdell proudly announced Townsend’s decision to establish its own police force, ensuring enhanced safety and security for the community. This progressive step showcases their commitment to the well-being of their residents.

 

๐Ÿ“ˆ Middletown’s Growth and Infrastructure: Mayor Kenneth L. Branner, Jr. shared thrilling updates on Middletown’s remarkable growth. From the progress of the 299 roadwork to the planned extension of Green Street, the city is poised for convenience and accessibility. The mayor also expressed pride in the flourishing business scene, including the opening of major chain restaurants. Notably, all this progress has been achieved without raising taxes, a true testament to responsible management.
